kate eight months

(may was) the beginning of the end of the first year.
a big smile to go with her big personality.
planking, a little bit of crawling, and always smiling.

kate - seven months

(doing a little bit of catching up over here. only 2.5 months late...)

and just like that we are closer to one year old than her birth.

baptism birthday bash galore part one

recently this has been a space for monthly updates on kate.  
there has been life outside of kate's monthly updates.
for example, back in february we had both sides of our family come to town for charley's birthday party and kate's baptism. thus earning the name "baptism birthday bash galore." while trying to plan a pinterest worthy two-year-old birthday party, i quickly realized the theme might better be charley's most favorite thing to do in the world...bowling! so we had a two-year-old birthday party at the bowling alley on base.  charley loved every minute of it. we loved having family and friends to celebrate with!

kate - six months

six months. half a year. 
it's going so much faster the second time around.

she's sitting.
and rolling over.  all.over.
she has her first tooth coming in.
where did my baby go?

my personal favorite.

life with a two-year-old

this little one...

is teaching me.
everyday.

she humbles me.
she frustrates me.
she loves me.
she showers me with kisses and giggles.

somedays i want to pull my hair out.

but then when she goes to bed, i miss her.  i find myself watching her on the monitor, thinking what a sweet little girl she is and how lucky i am to be her mom.

this is life with a toddler.
and i wouldn't trade it for the world.

kate - five months

a little late, per usual.

kate almost sitting up on her own, she uses her hands to sit like a frog.

she is all smiles, and still adores her sister.

dimpled cheeks and dimpled legs. our little chunky chipmunk.

loves her jumper and play mat.
